Activities to encourage Physical Development
 Infant
  •  Move baby's arms and legs
  • lay baby on his tummy on a ball and let him roll around a little (video on right)
  • hold baby in the standing position for a minute or so at a time

Toddler

  • Family walks
  • let your child run and play outside
  • set up a water sprinkler in the backyard for your child to run and play in

In children of any age physical growth refers to the child's physical body. In order for a child's physical body to grow as it should children should receive proper sleep, nutrition and opportunities for social interaction and play. Adolescents
  • Walk or jog regularly with your child and participate in some sort of organized walk or run
  • encourage your child to participate in organized sports either through community organizations or school
  • ride bicycles together as a family

Early and Middle Childhood
  •  Enroll your child in sports, dance or gymnastics
  • Build an obstacle course out of things you have around the house and challenge your child to complete it in a set amount of time
  • let your child wash your car
